Pacific Scientific Energetic Materials Company (PacSci EMC) provides highly reliable energetic-powered devices for aerospace and defense applications. The candidate is very knowledgeable of aircraft safety systems with a focus on emergency escape including canopy or hatch removal ejection seats system sequencing and aircrew recovery with the related Cartridge Actuated Devices/Propellant Actuated Devices (CAD/PAD) and linear components. Additional knowledge on load deployment/release fire suppression and flotation systems are a plus. The successful candidate understands maintenance and management of safety systems including handling CAD/PAD forecasting time change intervals and maintenance. They must be able to communicate with US Government JPO CAD/PAD aircraft SPO professionals and broaden professional relationships with prime contractors and suppliers both commercial and military. Successful candidates can link the requirements of the end users and prime contractors with the capabilities of PacSci EMC with the intent of obtaining new and follow-on business. PacSci EMC manufactures at two facilities one in Chandler AZ and the other in Hollister CA employing approximately 750 associates. The primary focus of this position is to manage PacSci EMC s aircraft egress and safety systems market for both the Hollister CA and Chandler AZ facilities internally and externally. This means but not limited to: + Fully understanding the PacSci EMC product offerings currently on or could be added to military and civilian fixed wing aircraft and helicopter platforms. + Understand the function of the sub-systems and components and being able to communicate that to the customers. + Sustaining existing product content on current fixed wing and helicopter platforms + Increasing customer and PacSci EMC associates understanding of the entire egress system life cycle and relate the importance of saving lives. + Communicate the importance and sustainment of integration maintenance and service of our sub-systems and components. + Evaluate an existing non-PacSci EMC system and recommending a replacement equivalent in form fit and function + Understand new requirements or issues and working out the path and actions to a solution then communicating that information to our customers. Additional focus of this position includes Business Development activities growing PacSci EMC s industry leading content on safety systems on aircraft and helicopters. This means but not limited to: + Providing data to support proposal efforts on new opportunities at the earliest possible point so that the PacSci EMC Team can influence the requirements and prepare a winning proposal submission. + Use industry relationships government budget materials tradeshows media website and other research avenues identifying new opportunities. + Increase aircraft content by targeting new opportunities as an alternate source + Work with engineering to offer cutting edge technological solutions to customers + Work with channel partners (distributors and representatives) to find new opportunities and revenue streams + Support proposal efforts providing information (i.e. price point competitors win strategy technology schedule etc.) to support the submission + Generate reports to support forecasts bookings and opportunity reviews. Working Conditions: + The position is located at our Hollister CAD facility and reports to the PacSci EMC Director of Business Development located there. + Full-time 40+hours/week + Travel. This position requires frequent travel in the United States and internationally (Europe Asia Middle East South America). This includes attending customer meetings field support tradeshows conferences and symposia. + Position requires regular coordination with PacSci EMC s engineers program managers proposal teams contracts and export associates at both Hollister and Chandler facilities. + Ability to qualify for and obtain a Secret security clearance if required. + Ability to obtain ATF approval to work with NDS products. + In-depth experience using Microsoft Office (Word Excel and PowerPoint) and learn other computer programs for document controls and time management. Self-directed Self-starter + Excellent understanding of CAD/PAD systems + Excellent listener + Excellent verbal communicator + Excellent writer + Excellent presenter (prepare and deliver presentations for small and large groups) + Logical thinker able to connect customer needs to PacSci EMC s capabilities + Strategic thinker able to understand customers and projects in the context of the PacSci EMC corporate and product line strategy Education and Experience: + BA/BS or equivalent experience (senior enlisted military rank in aircrew egress systems or aircraft structural mechanic and egress technician) + Military emergency escape system experience aircraft maintenance CAD/PAD acquisition and/or other experience within our product families. + Previous Business Development Marketing or Sales experience a plus.
