Emirates to resume A380 services to Bangkok – Business Traveller

Emirates has announced plans to roster its A380 superjumbo back onto flights to Bangkok from the end of the month.

Daily flights to and from Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi airport will be operated by a three-class A380 from November 28.

Schedules will be as follows:

  • EK372 departing Dubai at 0930, arriving into Bangkok at 1840
  • EK373 departing Bangkok at 2035, arriving into Dubai at 0050 the following day

The carrier’s two other daily nonstop flights to Bangkok will remain served by a three-class B777-300ER. Emirates also plans to increase the frequency of its Dubai-Phuket-Bangkok service to daily from December 1.

The airline said that the reintroduction of the A380, along with the extra flights to Bangkok via Phuket, would add over 8,600 weekly seats to the Thai capital.

Emirates has gradually rebuilt its A380 network as travel restrictions continue to ease worldwide. The carrier currently operates the superjumbo to 25 cities across six continents, with plans to increase this to 28 cities by the end of December.

The airline recently confirmed that it would deploy its A380 on the Dubai-Gatwick route when it resumes in December, having previously announced that the service would operate with a B777.
