Amusingly, Mercedes-AMG has crudely covered the inside of the doors and center console with cardboard. It’s not the most sophisticated disguise but it does the job. Compared to the regular S-Class, the AMG S63e also has a lower and stiffer suspension, larger wheels and brakes, and a quad exhaust system. When the camouflage is removed, the S63e will stand out from the regular model thanks to its Panamericana grille, aggressive bumpers, and rear diffuser.
As the charging port on the prototype indicates, the new S63e will be a plug-in hybrid which we expect to come powered by a twin-turbo V8 and an electric motor reportedly producing around 700 horsepower.
