Soren entered the Ranchi office of the central probe agency around noon and came out around 9.40 pm. His wife had gone to the establishment around 9 pm to receive him outside the office. Later, they straightaway went to the chief minister’s residence.
The agency has so far not issued another date for Soren to appear before it.
The ED has claimed that it has “identified” proceeds of crime relating to illegal stone mining in the state to the tune of Rs 1,000 crore till now.
Earlier today, addressing reporters before leaving for the ED office, Soren claimed that he was a “victim of conspiracy” by the opposition.
Soren has accused the BJP of using central agencies to destabilise his government.
The Jharkhand chief minister urged the probe agency to refrain from making “sensational statements” on illegal mining “without ascertaining facts and figures”.
Soren has called a meeting of UPA MLAs at his residence on Friday morning.
