Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking to bring on an Integrated Modular Avionics Engineering Manager (Level K) for the Certification Integration in Everett, WA.

The Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA) Team is responsible for design, development, and certification of the Common Core System (CCS) and Remote Data Concentrators (RDC) for 787 and 777X programs, and certification activities related to the 777 Airplane Information Management System (AIMS). These systems provide computing capability for Avionics functions and signal integrity for a significant number of systems across the airplane.

The IMA organization is seeking a qualified certification integration manager to provide oversight of certification team activities and grow the certification function for AIMS and CCS.

This position is expected to be Hybrid.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manage IMA Certification Team.
  • Integrate certification activities between IMA, Program Integration, and Regulatory Administration.
  • Develop and Champion IMA team DAE/EUM-IT/EUM/EUM Advisor Talent Pipeline.
  • Champion improved compliance showing activities within the IMA team.
  • Ensure timely completion of training of E-UMs in Training.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.  

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering (ABET accredited).
  • 3+ years of experience leading engineering teams.
  • Prior experience working directly with regulatory authorities.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ year of engineering management experience.
  • Prior experience working directly with regulatory authorities as a manager, or leading unit members.


This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
