The Boeing Global Services organization has a unique and exciting opportunity for a Procurement Agent (Level 4) to join the Supplier Management team located in Seattle, WA or Everett, WA. The successful candidate will support procurement activities for aftermarket goods and services in a fast-paced environment while learning new skills, solving challenging problems, and experiencing opportunities to grow.  Successful candidate will participate in forging collaborative relationships with suppliers that create win/win/win relationships between customers, Boeing, and our supply base. Customer focus, teamwork, analytical strengths, and creative problem solving are a must. 

This position acts as an authorized agent of the company with responsibility for managing all supplier-related activities and the authority to commit company resources.

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options: Seattle, WA or Everett, WA.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Initiate supplier improvement activities, while integrating and aligning with program business unit goals and strategies

  • Compile and analyze data for supplier performance evaluation and improvement opportunities to ensure delivery, quality, and financial stability

  • Manage supplier performance

  • Communicate and engage with stakeholders to ensure that program and customer strategies are integrated into supplier strategies

  • Communicate across functions, programs, and suppliers to effectively manage risks, issues and opportunities

  • Lead special projects to execute continuous improvement initiatives

  • Possess complete understanding, ability, and knowledge to act independently when working routine problems or situations; Possess complete knowledge of company and local policies, procedures and regulations

  • Knowledge management skills including Tableau and SQL are valuable enablers

  • Coach, mentor, and train junior team members

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. S 120.15 is required.  “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related discipline

  • 8+ years of experience in Supplier Management/Procurement as a Purchasing Agent or Buyer is highly desired

  • Experience in proposing, negotiating, and executing complex contracts and/or subcontracts is desired

  • Experience with strategic sourcing and managing supplier performance is desired

Typical Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree and typically 10 or more years’ related work experience, a Master’s degree and typically 8 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Summary pay range: 102,000 – 138,800
