SATTE gets postponed over Omicron spread
Informa Markets in India, the organisers of the premier B2B travel trade exhibition, South Asia’s Travel & Tourism Exchange (SATTE) has announced that it is postponing the 2022 edition of the show by three months amidst the widespread scare of the new Omicron variant of Covid-19 variant and restrictions placed by the government on organising such big shows physically.

In a message to the travel trade fraternity, Pallavi Mehra, Group Director, Informa Markets India, informed about the decision and said that the 29th edition of the exhibition would now be held from May 18-20, 2022, at India Expo Mart, Greater Noida. “Dear Friends, my team and I were all geared up to welcome you all at SATTE in February this year. However, due to the ongoing Covid surge and concern for your good health, we at Informa Markets in India have decided to postpone SATTE 2022 and the exhibition would now be held from May 18-20, 2022, in India Expo Mart. We look forward to your support and see you at SATTE in May,” she said.

Earlier scheduled from January 19-21, the three-day event will now be held from February 16-18 at the India Expo Mart, Greater Noida.

SATTE 2022 was originally scheduled from February 16-18, 2022. The three-day expo took place between March 24-26 in 2021 after a long hiatus of Covid-19 lockdown and restrictions and was one of the major travel events to take place physically, before the second wave of Covid-19 hit the country in April 2021. International participants such as Nepal, Maldives, Malaysia, Utah, and Expo2020 Dubai had showcased their products and offerings in the 28th edition of SATTE.
