A thick layer of toxic foam covered the surface of the sacred Indrayani river, located in the Alandi town Maharashtra’s Pune. This has raised serious concerns among local residents as well as devotees of Warkari community. Locals said the issue of river pollution has remained unresolved from the past 10 years. The Indrayani river is believed to be a sacred river, which originates from Kurvande village near Lonavala.
